The Ronald and Maxine Linde Institute of Economic and Management Sciences at Caltech

… was created to promote and coordinate research and teaching in managerial economics at Caltech. The goal is to teach the principles behind business and managerial behavior, organization and institutions, and to promote research in the areas with the most potential of original breakthroughs, leveraging Caltech’s expertise as well as its comparative advantage to carry out interdisciplinary research. Without too much sacrifice of breadth, the Institute will focus on a few sub-fields. These will be among those where science is possible – because doing science is what Caltech is best at.
